Submission Guidelines

Please follow the below guidelines when proposing any event, exhibition or project to GRIN. Incomplete submissions will not be reviewed. All submitted content must contain your name and proposal title. Send all proposals to submit@grinprovidence.com. Please put your name and proposal type in the subject of the email.  All submitted content must contain your name and proposal name in the title or file name.

We try our very best, but cannot always respond to all applications. Give us a few weeks, and if you still don't hear back feel free to send a little nudge.

Solo and Group Proposals

Please provide the following when submitting a proposal for a solo or group exhibition:

  • A current artist statement (per artist)
  • Proposed exhibition time-line
  • Exhibition proposal, no more than one page in length
  • CV
  • A brief explanation detailing why the work/exhibition proposed is a good fit for our program
  • 3-5 samples of current work or planned work relevant to the proposal. Please list materials, dimensions and year (if applicable).
         Images (up to 5 MB each). Files, direct links (web) and DropBox accepted.
         Video (up to 60 MB) and Audio (up to 30 MB each). You may also link to media from YouTube, Vimeo and SoundCloud


Curatorial Proposals

Please provide the following when submitting a proposal for a guest-curated exhibition:

  • Curatorial Statement and CV
  • Proposed exhibition time-line
  • Artist statement(s)
  • Exhibition proposal, no more than one page in length
  • A brief explanation detailing why the work/exhibition proposed is a good fit for our program
  • 5-10 samples of works by the included artists, including a corresponding numbered checklist of works; including title, date, materials, and dimensions.
         Images (up to 5 MB each). Individual files and DropBox links accepted.
         Video (up to 60 MB) and Audio (up to 30 MB each). You may also link to media from YouTube, Vimeo and SoundCloud

 

Special Events

Please allow 4-6 weeks lead-time before planned date for event, and provide the following information when inquiring about holding an extracurricular event with GRIN:

  • Type and brief description of event
  • Time-line
  • Space needed
  • Contact information of all persons involved
  • Any other relevant information
