Miika Benedetti was born in Boston. In 2010, he moved to Beijing and worked as an artist and an actor in indie love dramas. In 2014, he moved back to the U.S. indefinitely. His works typically involve an installation-based approach to image creation resulting in concepts that breach diverse mediums and inform each other as objects within a given space. His works revolve around the alienation and corrosion of mental states resulting from capitalist societies and contemporary notions of civilization and order set inside physical space and designed as interactive mental landscapes. Mania, free-association, and a strong guidance of moral ethics drive his work.
